  • Write grants that match the expertise of the IRAPP faculty and partners, and provide for community outreach.
  • Prepare environmental education grants and raise external funds for the Center for Environmental Education.
  • Manage the Center for Environmental Education grants.
  • Develop, implement, and manage professional development courses in environmental education.
  • Manage the ecology lab.
  • Conduct research in the environmental field.
  • Develop and coordinate the implementation of the Environmental Education Endorsement.

2004 – 2006              Energy Conservation Manager

                                    Morehead State University 

  • Identify and implement plans for energy conservation projects.
  • Prepare specifications and request bids for energy conservation, energy management, and construction projects.
  • Review all construction and renovation projects specifications and implementation as relation to energy conservation and HVAC controls.
  • Develop and conduct educational and promotional programs to heighten campus and community awareness regarding the need for energy conservation.
  • Coordinate with the Building Maintenance Supervisor and Construction Manager to evaluate projects and make recommendations relating to energy conservation and HVAC controls.
  • Develop, implement, and manage energy conservation plans utilizing the computerized energy management system.
  • Develop utility and energy management system budgets, providing specific information for determining supplies, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Oversee financial aspects of the energy conservation and HVAC projects.
  • Oversee contractors working on energy conservation projects.
  • Prepare yearly reports on the programs.
