My current area of research is in the scholarship of teaching and learning. There are two majors projects that I am involved in at this time.
Earth Systems Science Education Alliance Project:
In this project, we are designing educational teaching materials for teaching Earth Science at the high school level.
Math and Science Partnership:
This is a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded project for the development of a larger NSF grant. The objective of these grants is to improve science
education in grades 5-8 in this region of Kentucky. The participants in the project include Morehead State University, three
Kentucky Community and Technical College System campuses, and 12 regional school districts (Bath, Boyd, Carter, Elliot,
Greenup, Lawrence, Lewis, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Rowan, and Wolfe).
