This site provides information about the trombone scene at MSU. You can meet the trombone students, find out about upcoming concerts, or get information about auditioning for a music scholarship.
Morehead State University is located in the scenic rolling hills of eastern Kentucky in the city of Morehead with a population of about 10,000 people. The music department is located in Baird Music Hall. There are about 200 music majors at MSU, and the trombone studio includes trombone majors comprised of both music education and music performance.
The trombone students have a full array of ensembles to choose from including 3 concert bands, orchestra, two jazz ensembles, brass choir, and of course our own beloved MSU Trombone Choir. All of the ensembles are open to all MSU students; it is not necessary to major in music in order to participate. Some of the ensembles require an audition that takes place at the beginning of each semester. You should contact the director of each ensemble for more information. You may contact Dr. Jeanie Lee for any questions about the trombone choir. Click here to hear a sample of the trombone choir performing.
