The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is the primary professional
organization for mathematics teachers and a reputable source of news, curriculum,
and conference information for mathematics teachers at all levels.
Spend some time following the links on the NCTM site. You will find
information you can put to use in this course as you prepare your lesson
plans and presentations. You can have confidence that information
from the NCTM is based on research and established "best practices" in
mathematics education.
Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics
The Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics is the state affiliate
of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. It has approximately
1,000 members who are involved in mathematics education at in kindergarten

on the World Wide Web. KDE's web site seems well designed an easily
