Dr. Markham B. Schack is a Professor of Education at Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky. He teaches courses in Mathematics Teaching Methods and Educational Computing. Dr. Schack has published numerous articles and delivered many conference presentations on educational computing and mathematics teaching topics.
Before coming to M.S.U. in 1987, Dr. Schack taught electronics technology at Illinois State University, and he completed post doctorate study in educational applications of computers and electrical engineering at Oklahoma State University, Utah State University, and The University of Denver. From 1979 to 1982 he was Associate Professor of Electronics Technology at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. He graduated with an Ed.D. in Technical Education, from Oklahoma State University in 1978. He also taught at the National Technical Institute in Boumerdes, Algeria, Paris Junior College, Paris, Texas, and worked as a technical writer and electronics technician. He served in the United State Air Force from 1964-68.
Dr. Markham Schack shares a teaching load with his wife,
Dr.
Edna Schack. This arrangement allows them to share parenting
responsibilities
for their
four teen-age children. Together they enjoy outdoor activities
such
as hiking, camping, and backpacking when they can find the time.
