knowledge given for the area range of kindergarten all the way to about third
grade. It has links to all
different kinds of fun facts, science experiment, math, magic tricks and math.
The craft section gives many ideas for celebrating holidays and it the crafts
teach you the basic skills of shapes, colors, and three dimensions. It also keeps the child interested, and
allows the teacher to make learning fun, not just a job. It inspires kids to
look on the inside of things and gives many objects and links that connect to
enhancing the technique of learning.
The reason why I
chose this website is because I feel that in classrooms of smaller children,
there has to be more fun involved. If you start a young child enjoying school,
they will more and likely have a better enhance in succeeding longer. This
website was basically made for the family, teachers, and student environment.
It is a set up of crafts, games, photo links, and coloring. A teacher may add a

pictures. It provides ideas for occasions, and will bring a twist in an

helpful in answering are own questions, we have today. It goes from celebrating the 100th
day of school, to using manipulative to play in the classroom. As the website
answers questions, it also builds each level of school by topic, so that
everyone can benefit from dated work. This website is a good resource for all
new and older teachers.
Do you feel as if

to your style of teaching you have to start with a house warming assignment. So
the kids can get to know you and decide if they want anything to do with you.
First impressions are very important to children. The activity is to make a
puppet and introduce this puppet as yourself and make the puppet have the same
features as you do and identify with the puppet. You get the gist of it,
besides it helps to put a little of your own ideas in to the project.
The reason I choose
this site is because it had an activity for First year Teachers. That is what
all of us are going to be so we do not know what to expect from our first year

just love me from the beginning, but it does not work that way. This way it will

The source of this
content is from Dr, Scott Mandrel, director of Teachers Helping Teachers. It also comes from practicing
educational professionals giving their various inputs on numerous topics. It is reviewed for content and accuracy
because they have a special section for a “Guest Book” where
questions and comments can be posted from users of this web site.
The Teachers Helping
Teachers provides basic teaching tips to inexperienced teachers and ideas that
can be immediately implemented into the classroom, it provides new ideas in
teaching methodologies for all teachers, and provides a forum for experienced
teachers to share their expertise and tips with colleges around the world. The site contains a lot of in depth
lesson plans for any type of teacher.
The homepage introduces a “topic of the week” that is a fun
idea for classroom teachers to experiment with. The site is updated weekly, therefore no out dated material
will be left to have to hunt through when trying to find the new material.
The reason I chose
this web site was because out of all of the sites I reviewed Teachers Helping
Teachers had the best links to educational resources. Another reason that I really liked this site was due to
their
weekly stress
reduction article for teachers, a little something to liven up their school
week.

The founders of
Education World, all having education backgrounds, recognized the need for a
web site that would make the Internet easier for educators to use. In 1996 they created this site as a
place for educators to gather and share ideas.
Education World is a
resource that includes many educational items all in one place. Some of the items are lessons plans,
information on how to integrate technology in the classroom, site reviews,
daily features and columns, teacher and principal profiles, employment
listings, and wire side chats.
This site is geared toward helping educators and administrators. It has daily issues that are troubling
teachers all over the world and other
teachers post suggestions on how to solve these problems. I think this would be extremely helpful
to any educator. As a future
educator I know I would greatly appreciate other teacher’s points of view
on several topics.
The reason I picked
this site was because of the availability of a newsletter for unemployment
listings. The mailing list will
send you one email every two
weeks. In the message you will
find information about those searching for a job in the education field and
administrators searching for qualified educational professionals. This would be helpful for
administrators and college graduates.

This web site is to
be a helpful resource for teachers.
Included in this site are
numerous subjects and seasonal lesson plans for all grade levels. Each general subject has a variety of
specific lessons. So a teacher
isn’t limited to the same lessons.
Also, lesson plans can be added therefore there are always new lesson
plans available.
With a site like
this available, no teacher should have to worry abut having to use the
same lesson plans
over and over again. This site is
full of exciting, fun, and educational lesson plans for any grade which makes
it a useful site for both experienced teachers and beginning teachers.

This weekly
publication sponsored by Velsoft.com provides numerous options that could be
useful for elementary teachers. It
includes tips on what kinds of things to leave when there is a sub, how to
decorate the room, lesson plans on a specific subject, how to get parents
involved. How to be successful at
fund raising, quick activities, and much much more.
Every teacher has
gone through a time when they can’t think of anything new and exciting to
do. This website has new ideas for
almost anything a teacher would want.
It is extremely useful for a beginning teacher because of all the
suggestions to the obstacles that all teachers most overcome.

This site gives
teachers on almost any topic they are looking for. Better book report ideas, literature lessons for every
grade, for awkward time frames there are mini lessons, how to explain the
inexplicable to students. This is
a very helpful site for any teacher. No matter what subject a teacher is
teaching, this site will be helpful.
The best part of this site is that there is more than just regular
assignments.
I liked this site
because it is very helpful for both new teachers and experienced teachers. I think that it gives them a new
outlook at some new assignments that can keep the students interested.

This is a wonderful site
for kids, parents, and teachers. The resources include seasonal crafts. Shown
now are winter crafts and projects like snowman e-cards and a recipe for winter
cookie pops. Also, different cultural holidays are recognized and there are
projects for these occasions. There are also food and color themes with coloring books available
for reproducing. There was also a site for homemade holiday gifts. The God Bless America site was very
interesting with suggestions on how to talk to a child about the news and
understanding violence. Flags can be printed out and other resources ordered
for classroom or home. ChildFun is naturally the site it says it is!
The worst
distraction was advertising that kept coming up, but getting past that can keep
a child occupied with meaningful projects. The resources for teachers and
parents is outstanding with many great ideas and lesson plans. There is enough
information in this site to give a classroom teacher a year of great
activities.

The Scholastic web
site is not just about books. For teachers there are lesson plans and
reproduceable resources. Online activities include internet field trips that
are guided tours to the best classroom -appropriate Web sites. Each trip
provides suggestions for teaching specific topics. Of course, there are book
reviews that are very colorful and graphic and include “meet the author”
site, challenges, Speak Up rooms, and even screen savers of their favorite book
character. For parents there are the “Family Living” and
“Ways to Play” sections. Children can enjoy these many activities
as well as games and contests that are offered. These sites are made suitable
for grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8.
I love this site
because it promotes reading with different projects, but also gives insightful
activities for teachers and parents. It is also dedicated to different age
levels. Scholastic has many resources available within their site. This is a
great way to promote reading and explore the internet!

This site is
available for youth, educators, and family. It contains projects for teachers and individual activities for
interested students. The site can be translated into several languages because
the main focus is building inter-personal networks with peers around the world.
There are 86 public mailing lists for
interactions and an online art exhibition site. One activity I enjoyed is how to communicate with
parents and grandparents. The child is given ideas used by others. Other topics
are:
a. local people and local
lifestyles
b. How are computers and internet used
where you live?
c.your teachers,
what you like and do not like about them
d. animal rights and human rights
Children have
major access from this site to explore how children live in 144 countries.
I picked this
site because of its wide diversity around the world. What a great way for
children to learn about different countries and cultures! This is in the
secondary school level and incorporates teachers and parents as volunteers to
monitor sites and answer questions. Kidlink makes it possible for a child to
travel the world via the internet.
