Welcome to the Morehead State University Saxophone Studio web page! Saxophonists at Morehead State find themselves in an active musical environment where performing opportunities include two concert bands, two jazz ensembles, marching band, jazz combos, and saxophone quartets.

Beyond Morehead, MSU saxophone students have had much success recently, including several performances at the 2007 NASA region 7 conference, the 2008 Biennial NASA conference. Since 2005, Morehead State student quartets have won the Kentucky MTNA Chamber Music competition each consecutive year. Most recently, the Orpheus Saxophone Quartet were finalists at the 2009 Coleman Chamber Music competition.

The saxophone studio at Morehead State University typically numbers between 17 and 25 students distributed among various music degree programs, including the following:
