Dr. Katz received her Ph.D. in 1995 from the University of Oklahoma. She has been published in a variety of journals including "Violence Against Women, "The Journal of Criminal Justice Education", "Sociological Focus", "The Journal of Crime, Law and Social Challenges, and the "Western Criminological Reivew". In 2006, Dr. Katz published a book, "The Georgian Regime Crisis", which can be purchased from Amazon.com.This coming summer she and Dr. Andrian Mandzy also of Morehead State University and Dr. Beth Crachiolo of Berea College are taking a group of students to Ukraine through the Kentucky Institute for International Studies program.
