Welcome To My MSU Website
After many years in business I became a fulltime English Instructor at MSU in 1999. I teach rhetoric, composition, literature, developmental writing, practical writing, legal writing, and creative writing. My alma mater is the University of Kentucky, where I completed my undergraduate and graduate work, studying English, Creative Writing, Education, Business, and Instructional Design.
My MSU writing courses tend to be somewhat provocative and, hopefully, well-heeled in topical and controversial subjects that affect everyday life. So the courses are not for the squeamish; yet, necessarily present a forum for otherwise delicate topics to be discussed in a secure, intellectual, challenging, fair, and open atmosphere. Many of my students take me again and again, so something must resonate. Nevertheless, all students are welcome and gladly recognized - The more diversity the better the classes. When everbody thinks alike nobody thinks!
