About Me
Ann Francis is a senior music education major. She has studied flute for ten years and studied privately with Jennifer Brimson, Dr. Jacob Roseman, and Felipe Moritz for five years. Ann has performed locally as Assistant Section Leader with the Morehead State Symphony Band, Section Leader of the Morehead State Concert Band, a member of the orchestra at Jenny Wiley Theater, and in the Pikeville College Symphonic Band. Ann has experience teaching as a private instructor, in a general music classroom as a Peer Mentor for the Upward Bound program, a flute instructor at Pike Central High School and at band camps across the state. Recently, Ann finished a semester abroad in Brazil, and is currently conducting a research project with the Undergraduate Research Fellowship department on interpretations of the Brazilian choro.
