About Me
Hello everyone!! My name is Jordan Atkinson and I am a graduate student in Communication. I am excited to graduate this semester. I am really interested in studying mass media and the various mediums such as internet, television, newspapers, and magazines. In May of 2009, I graduated from MSU with a BA in Communication (Organizational/Interpersonal) and a BA in Education (Secondary Social Studies). I took two graduate classes over the summer and I have 12 credit hours this current spring semester.
First and foremost, being a very social person, I enjoy the company of my friends and family. I am from Pikeville, so I usually visit my family back home once every month. Right after graduation last year, a couple of friends and I took a Caribbean cruise that was unforgettable. Speaking of friends and family, whenever we get a chance we try to attend as many UK football and basketball games as possible.
I also enjoy movies and music. Casting Crowns and Coldplay are my favorite bands, Jessica Alba is my favorite actress, and Fantastic 4 is one of my favorite movies. I also have a passion for drama and acting. I am currently in my fifth year as the assistant coach of the Rowan County Middle School Speech and Drama Team. I also am active in the National Forensic League.
Here at Morehead State University, I am involved in Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship. This great organization combines fellowship, fun, worship, and great messages. Please feel welcome to attend services on Thursday nights at 9:00 p.m.
