Savannah Varble
A Star in the Making
My name is Savannah Varble, and I'm a sophomore electronic media major with a minor in theatre. I'm very proud of myself for what I've achieved in my life when it comes to my work ethic. In a few words, I do what I say I will to the absolute best of my ability. I think a person's word should mean something, and if you aren't able to keep a commitment, then you shouldn't make it in the first place. I think this is why I've done so well with school. I've only had one B so far in my college career, and I hope it's the last one I ever receive. I also think this idea extends to my friendships. I won't say I'll help you with something and then back out at the last minute. I expect the same thing of my friends, and I think it's only fair to treat them the same way. You get back what you invest. I think that's one of the truest things that can be said about almost anything. Think about it. Things really are what you make of them. A class, a friendship, a job or even a relationship with a boyfriend of girlfriend can all be improved by how much effort you're willing to make. I really am proud of how hard I work to get what I want, and I don't think that you need to disrespect others or try to outdo anyone to make yourself look better. In my opinion, the best way to get noticed is to work hard, do your best, and just be proud of whatever it is that you're doing.
